DIGITALTRUST
Digital trust, made in Europe

European certificates for your website, your email and your company.

SSL/TLS, S/MIME, BIMI and LEI, issued by European Certification Authorities and handled by a European company. One point of contact for everything that proves your company is who it says it is.

  • Certification Authorities based in the European Union
  • eIDAS qualified certificates
  • Support from a European company, by phone and email
Certificates and identifiers

Four proofs of identity. One team handling them.

Each certificate answers a different question: is this website yours? Was this email really sent by you? Is this logo your brand's? Does this company exist, and who owns it?

Why European

Your company's trust should not depend on another jurisdiction.

A certificate is a statement made by a third party about who your company is. It matters who makes it, where, and which law applies to it.

European law

Your company and your documents are validated by organisations subject to the GDPR and supervised by an EU Member State.

eIDAS qualified

Qualified providers are listed on the EU trusted lists. Their qualified certificates have the same legal standing in every Member State.

NIS 2 and the supply chain

The NIS 2 Directive asks every company to know and choose its critical suppliers carefully. Your Certification Authority is one of them.

Trusted worldwide

European does not mean Europe-only: the roots of these CAs are in every browser, operating system and email client.

How it works

Deal with us. We handle the paperwork.

  1. Tell us what you need

Through the form, by phone or by email. If you are not sure which certificate fits, we tell you, and why.

  2. We prepare the validation

We gather the documents the Certification Authority asks for, handle domain validation and follow the order through to issuance.

  3. We install and keep watch

We help you install it, check that it is configured correctly and remind you well before every renewal.

Questions

What we are asked most.

Which certificate do I need for my website?

For a corporate website, OV (organisation validation) shows who is behind the domain. For online shops, banking and insurance, EV. For test environments or sites without personal data, DV is enough. For organisations that need legal recognition in the EU, QWAC. See the comparison or ask us for advice.

Does a European certificate work outside Europe?

Yes. The Certification Authorities we work with have their roots in the Apple, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla root programmes. The certificate is trusted in every browser and system, in every country.

What is the difference between S/MIME and BIMI?

S/MIME identifies the person and proves the content of each email: it signs and encrypts. BIMI identifies the brand: it shows the verified logo in the inbox. They complement each other: the logo comes from BIMI, the blue checkmark in Apple Mail comes from S/MIME.

I already have certificates from another provider. Can you handle the switch?

Yes. We map the certificates you have, their expiry dates and where they are installed, and plan the move so that nothing expires along the way.

Who issues the certificates?

Recognised Certification Authorities, preferably European ones. By default Asseco and Actalis, both qualified trust service providers under eIDAS, for SSL/TLS and QWAC; GlobalSign for BIMI; and others when the customer asks. LEIs are issued by a GLEIF-accredited issuer.
